Nomination and Enrollment Policies

How to Register

Submit a training nomination through your institute or center using the NIH Integrated Training System (NIHITS) .

Classroom seating is limited. In order to assure a place in class, it is recommended that you complete your enrollment at least four weeks prior to the class date. Course prices are subject to change.

Enrollment Confirmation

The NIH Training Center will confirm your enrollment by email no later than two weeks prior to the class. If you do not receive this confirmation, please call 301-496-6211 or feel free to otherwise contact our office.

Cancellation Deadline

You may withdraw from a course up to three weeks before the start date without cost. To do this, you must cancel your nomination through NIHITS before the deadline. We encourage substitutions if you cannot attend a class.

Registration cancellations received after the cancellation deadline will not be honored and your IC will be charged the full tuition rate for the training session. Additionally, if you withdraw during the training, your NIHITS training history will reflect "Incomplete" and your IC will be charged the full tuition amount.

You may also submit a reschedule request to the NIH Training Center up to 1 week before the start date without cost if another session is available. Any requests submitted after this deadline will not be processed and your IC will be charged the full tuition amount.
